I installed FMS 11 Adv. onto a server of my company last week. Now I plan to upgrade it from FMS 11 Adv. to FMS 12 Adv.. Does anybody has any experience in doing similar thing? I plan to uninstall FMS 11 Adv. and all its related SW from that server then install FMS 12 Adv.. Does anybody has any idea? Pls help me.
I found an article from FileMaker web site. It described how we can uninstall FMS 12. The way is exactly the same as what I planed to do even what I wanted to uninstall is FMS 11 Adv.. I did uninstall FMS 11 Adv. and then installed FMS 12 Adv. onto same server. There is a fmp12 file on the server and works fine now. The following is the URL of the article I mentioned above.

HI Cyrous,
A few things you need to Keep in Mind:
1) You server can only run one at a time so you will need to uninstall FMS11.
2) Your databases will need to be converted to FMP12 for them to be hosted on the FMP12 server.
3) The databases cannot be downconverted back to FMP11.
4) FMP11 clients cannot read FMP12 databases so your clients will need to be upgraded.
5) FMP12 clients cannot read FMP11 databases without converting them.
Other than that its all OK. The databases covert quite nicely with minimal problems. The main issues seem to be involving charts and other layout objects.
Also the layouts in the converted databases will not be able to use many on the nice new FMP12 layout eye candy.
